The Mae Sot tour
One day my girlfriend approached me asking me to help her to drive to Mae Sot in Tak province on the border of Minanmar.
This is a 500KM drive from Bangkok.
Part of the Way is mountains and rainy days which means you are going slow, so it takes about 8 hours to get there.

We got to Mae Sot, finished our business there, and visited the beautiful Minanmar temple Wat Thai Watthanaram.

We had our night in a nice hostel.
The morning came and the hostel guy says: "there was a landslide on the road. Much rain. There is a section where just one car can go through. Therefore there's a huge traffic jam on the way out. You should consider staying here".

We were not able to do that and we had to leave same day, so we are on our way, road number 12, in the mountains.
Some of the mountains on the roadside are cemented to stop landslides.
Some places cement was cracked because nature always wins.
We are driving about 60 KM and everything looks normal.

Then traffic stops.
I turned to my girlfriend and said: "do you remember that he mentioned there's a place where just one car can go through?"
- "yes", she replied.
- "that's here", we laughed.
It was so bad people actually got out of cars and sat on the roadside.

We waited for hours.
We planned our future while sitting in the car.
Rain kept falling and we feared another landslide.
We joked about that if we buried under the mountain, I'll ask to put us in the same jar so I will be able to herras her all the time.
The ride back home took 12 hours.
